Events

The Commission organizes various events within the state and at national level to build public awareness and create a moral force in the country to stand by children and protect their rights.

Latest events organized by the Commission

Webinar on New Education Policy 2020, through Google meet organized in the State by the Commission:
  • In District Una HP, on 13.10.20, Bilaspur on 14.10.2020, Lahaul and Spiti 16.10.2020, Kullu 17.10.2020, Solan 19.10.2020 and Shimla 20.10.2020 with collabrotion of SSA and concerned DPOs. About 80 to 100 shikshak/participants joined the meet in each Distt.
  • Webinars on same subject organized in Distts viz: Hamirpur on 11.11.2020, Mandi on 17.11.2020, Sirmour and Kangra on 18.11.2020, Kinnaur on 19.11.2020 and Chamba on 20.11.2020, about 80 to 90 teachers and other Participants Joined the Webinar in each District.
  • One day State level orientation cum sensitization on Pariksha Parv 2.0 was organized at Hamirpur on 29/03/2022 with collaboration of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, New Delhi. About one hundred participants attended the same.
  • The Commission organized a State level workshop on RTE Act, 2009 on 17/05/2022 at NIT Hamirpur with the collaboration of Department of Sarv Shikaha Abhiyaan (SSA) Himachal Pradesh. About 350 participants i.e different stakeholders throughout the State attended this workshop.
  • Under Section 13 and 14 of Commission for Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005, the following sittings/inspection were conducted by the Commission and suo moto actions were taken in different types of cases pertaining to child offences on the basis of news items appeared in different new papers and requests/representations received from individuals as well as through other quarters. During the financial year 2020-21 total 325 numbers of different types of cases were discussed/disposed off by the Commission.
  • Under Section 13 and 14 of Commission for Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005, the following sittings/inspection were conducted by the Commission and suo moto actions were taken in different types of cases pertaining to child offences on the basis of news items appeared in different new papers and requests/representations received from individuals as well as through other quarters. During the financial year 2021-22 total 416 numbers of different types of cases were discussed/disposed off by the Commission.
  • The Commission convened the meeting on 07/12/2021 with the stakeholders of Labour and Employment, Women and Child Development and Police departments in the office chamber of the Chairperson and discussed the various issues on child labour..
  • The Commission celebrated the POSHAN MAH in the month of September 2021 and September 2022 on the directions of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, New Delhi with the help of different stakeholders throughout the State.
